What if Delphini, in some (for the snakeman) cruel twist of fate, became absolutely obsessed with her muggle lineage instead.

I mean, just imagine:

Little Delphi at the dinner table: Who cares if I am a descendant of Slytherin and the house of Black? My great-grandparents fought in and survived world war one! And I am also a descendant of several kings! Isn't that the really impressive thing? Did you know that one of Mary Riddle's nieces was a famous film star? I want to be a filmstar too, when I grow up!

HI! Such an interesting question!

In my AU where Merope survives, Tom would be around 40 to make their relationship not totally creepy (remember in this AU voldemort is suppoused to end up as a somewhat decent guy) At first she might think Bella is sort of an odd young girl (but she gets its, her son is handsome and intelligent, after all) and Merope can tell she is really fancy, even more so Cecilia was, which she doesnt like all that much (she ships her son with either hagrid/myrtle LMAO)but she doesnt hate bellatrix and Bella seems so enthusiastic and devoted to Tom that I think Merope would eventually like her.

Bellatrix however LOVES Merope from the get go (and she is oblivious to merope initial apprehension) Bella likes her as much as she would anything Tom related, but fr she thinks that old lady is genuinely adorbs (merope is in her 60 by this point)

If they met in the afterlife Merope would just ask bomb her about her grand daugther (delphini is canon when I want her to be)

OK using this as an excuse to make a Scorbus cc dark world au post... this got longer than I expected but I really had to tell you all EVERYTHING about them. (From until they are 15 atleast.

So let's tackle 2 questions at once. Aren't Delphi and Scorpius cousins and How did Scorpius and Albus meet, as they link together

So originally I was going to make it so Scorpius and Albus met whilst Scorpius was in his first year of Hogwarts, and Albus was sent by Delphi to give a message to Headmaster Umbridge. But then I thought... why wouldn't they meet beforehand? The Malfoys are incredibly close to the Dark Lord, and now their family's are interlinked! (Just processed that Voldemort is Scorpius Uncle. Holy fuck)

So I changed it up a bit...

For quick context, during the first few months of Albus being taken by Delphi, he was very stubborn on not doing what she wanted, but eventually he gave up and began to become much more pliant out of fear. At this point. He was never allowed to be alone in the Manor or leave the Manor without Delphi being there with him. In this au, we will conclude that although Lucius is extremely unhappy with the marriage of Draco and Astoria, he will not kick them out of the family as Scorpius could still be an amazing Wizard and useful asset to the Dark Lord when he grows older.

SO! Then comes the day where Delphi goes to the Malfoy Manor with her mother to visit her Aunt Narcissa. Albus comes in tow. Delphi is extremely excited to show off her new pet to her relatives and hopefully get dowsed in praise of being so good at training the little thing. With an added Bonus of rubbing it in her little cousins face, who she likes to tease for being soft. Now she has her own halfblood pet, and he doesn't! (What a spoiled and terrifying 15 year old girl)

We cut to the introduction. Delphi is hyping Albus up to high heavens and Lucius Is just gently asking her to PLEASE keep the mangy thing off his furniture. Her protests would be silenced by Bellatrix, and she'd storm off to finally find her cousin so she could have some fun.

Scorpius, 8 years of age (he turned 8 just last month, Albus still has until August), would be in his room, ofcourse, tearing up some book pages and crumpling them into balls so he can play a game of "No broom quidditch". In the universe, Scorpius is indeed vindictive and cruel and would find pleasure in watching others suffer... But he has something in there. Much like Draco, who was a terrible boy, but still clearly had doubts on joining the darkside, a reluctance to kill anyone, and slithers of empathy. This was thanks to his mother, who would always treat him so much sweetly than anyone else would. She was soft and kind and encouraging, but she wasn't able to turn him away from the real world for long. Draco shaped Scorpius into the villainous Bully he is in Hogwarts, because he knew it was the only way he could survive. He didn't want Astoria turning him soft, he knew what would happen then. Despite this, Scorpius was hardly physically punished unless by Lucius. ANYWHO. Delphi bursts into his room and shakes Albus about infront of him, laughing to herself and talking about how she's so much better than Scorpius now, because SHE has a pet and HE doesn't! Scorpius does feel some jealousy but mostly he doesn't care, and just tells Delphi to not let him touch his things, else to leave any halfblood grime on it.

Albus thought the boy was rude, but he'd experienced worse and was just glad they didn't start taking turns hexing him. His eyes lingered on the boys platinum hair, which is messy infront of his eyes, before getting quickly pulled out the roon by a still angry Delphi.

After this they only meet a handful of times, as Albus gets trusted to be kept locked in a room by himself when he finally turns 8 in August. Never speaking besides a small nod from Albus and a scowl from Scorpius. When Albus begins his training at 9, they don't see eachother again until they are both 11 and the first part I mentioned happens.

Scorpius thinks the halfblood looks fairly different now. His hair is still slightly greasy, lanky where it looks like there should be volume, coils loose where they look like they should be tight. His face is just barely visibly sallow, which is still too sallow for his age, but his skin looks clean enough and he doesn't carry a unwashed stench like the rest of the servants he's seen while in the Dark Lords Manor. But the part he notices most is the fact the vibrant green eyes from before, the only thing he truly took notice of when they met at age 7, are now a deeper, murkier colour, and seem to be sunken from lack of sleep or stress. (Okay Scorpius kinda weird you remember that much about the guy you claim to not care about.)

For Albus? Well... Scorpius looked more or less the same. He still had that platinum blonde hair and fair skin, a single mole blemishing it underneath his eye. He tried not to look alot as he passed the hall, as he was sure he felt the familiar sensation of someone staring at him, and didn't want to possibly make eyecontact with the boy. But... Well Albus was a little curious about him, and decided he'd try talk to him at some point.

Even so, they never actually talked, Scorpius just looked at Albus alot more whenever he could, and Albus did the same. He was alot better at hiding it ofcourse, Scorpius seemed to have no care for the people around him and just did what he wanted, but Albus knew he could get in trouble if he looked too hard at a Malfoy.

Delphi... Well she took notice. See, she was 19 now, and took pride in being the so called "Augurey". Her little Munin though... he had been off. Asking her questions about her cousin and if the Malfoys were coming over to visit anytime soon. Delphi, never one to get in the path of love (wow, she's so romantic), decided she'd give her pet a new gift! A playdate in the summer with Scorpius!

It went.. uphill??? From there??? See, Lucius was really not a fan of leaving his grandchild alone with Harry Potters child, but Draco seemed to have limited qualms, and Astoria was rather supportive. Bellatrix and Voldemort... Well they didn't care what their daughter did with her pet, as long as she cleaned up whatever mess he made afterwards. The actual playdate seemed to be a hit, as a few days afterwards she caught Munin reading a letter from her cousin. Delphi was such a good pet owner!

In reality, Scorpius had spent the whole time talking about Hogwarts and making off handed remarks about Albus' blood and his father, before going on a long rant about the Mudblood one of his older friends allowed him to take a swing at ("I broke its jaw see, a Muggle way of fighting, but Nott made the winning blow by stomping on its head! There was blood all over my robes, and all my friend were jealous."). Albus, well he didn't mind. He was used to being around purebloods talking about him that way, and was even more used to seeing the murder of mudbloods up close. When Scorpius took a breath midway through another speech, Albus decided to throw that fact in, and Scorpius was INTERESTED. He kept asking Albus for details and then going off on a ramble about how HE would've done it if he was there. In the end, Scorpius finally let Albus touch him for a small handshake, and he swore he'd owl Albus at some point with more questions and story's.

As time progressed, they got closer! Albus would find himself taking a few hours longer on messages through Hogwarts to visit Scorpius. Sometimes he'd just leave the Manor without an excuse to go see him. In Summers, he was sneaking into Malfoy Manor or they'd both meet up at Hogsmeade. Their topics of conversation went from being purely about blood status and murder, to being Albus helping Scorpius study so he doesn't have to keep asking for people to do his homework, and them talking about the funny things they see Delphi do, or spilling secrets ("I've never actually killed somebody before" Scorpius would mutter, as if embarrassed. "It's okay. It isn't really all that fun" Albus would reply). There was even a time where Narcissa REQUESTED Albus' presence in Malfoy Manor to try calm down their grandchild, who was having a panic attack upon receiving the news of his Mother's death. He never actually confirmed it, but he's pretty sure Draco might have whispered a "Thank you." whilst he was passing the dining room Albus and Scorpius were gorging all sorts of deserts in.

So yes! Thats the answer to that... um. A bit long. My apologies. But onto the MAIN part where I just jabber about their feelings.

Scorpius doesn't actually understand that he has a crush on Albus. He knows he feels differently around him from other people, and especially different from when he's around other halfbloods, but he figures it's just him being grateful of the fact he has a real friend. And so what if most people don't get unbearably jealous upon seeing their bestfriend blushing around their unbearable cousin? Scorpius is a Malfoy, they don't have to explain themselves! But even then... He just can't stand it. Sometimes he thinks maybe he wants to hurt Albus, as he's used to getting butterflies in his stomach when he is out hunting Mudblood with his schoolmates. But these butterflies seem different. Like they are all on fire and that's why he finds himself turning an embarrassing red when Albus bumps his shoulder whilst laughing or rubs his arm in encouragement. And hey, don't say you wouldn't also feel some way about the guy who comforted you when your dear mother died, and taught you that useful trick for breathing. But Albus is just a pet, Scorpius knows that, and he knows that he can't let anyone besides his own family see him around the halfblood. It's shameful and he knew if well... there was a universe where he DID harbour feelings for Albus (which he doesn't, thie ie hypothetical he swears), he would never be able to pursue it. He'd be a blood traitor, doing more than meerily fraternising with Potters son, he'd end the Malfoy line, get kicked out from his family home. It simply wouldn't be worth it.

Albus on the other hand knows he has a crush on Scorpius, but is unwilling to do anything about it. He is solely dedicated to Delphi, and holds silent resentment for Scorpius despite his feelings. Scorpius, although grown calmer and shown Albus how vulnerable he can be, is still a bad person. And he has grown from the 11 year old boy who told him he was scared of killing anybody. Albus had saw Scorpius in his cruelest state firsthand, saw him laughing as he dodges the squirt of blood that came from whatever wixen that had been rumored to be a muggleborn sympathiser. But still, he's in love, and he curses himself for always falling for people he knows he really can't have. Delphi... Well she was his master. He knew she only viewed him as a pet to spoil and do her bidding. Scorpius is different that way. Maybe Albus is just imagining things but there a way Scorpius looks at him which is different than how he looks at others. It's like he actually sees him, and you can't blame him if that makes Albus' heart flutter. Albus, much like Scorpius, knows a real relationship between the two wouldn't be possible. Delphi wouldn't allow it, Voldemort wouldn't allow it, god knows the Malfoys wouldn't allow it. But still. Its... Well, Albus doesn't think he'll lose feelings anytime soon, even if he trys .

OK YEAH THATS IT. THEY DOOO END UP TOGETHER BUT JUST WHEN THEY ARE OLDER, LIKE 18. They elope. Scorpius pulls an Andromeda and they both run away with the help of the remaining order and they elope. Um... speaking of, the remaining order don't actually enjoy this whole marriage thing but they are just happy Albus is out of The Augureys grip (after a whole lotta shit happens inbetween). I'll make another post about when they actually confess at age 16 and the actual main stuff that happens from when they are 15-18.

Gaunt: Fuck verbal resolution! Here’s what you do, Delphi, you put that bitch on her back. You put her on her back and you gut her, understand? If someone comes at you, you put them and their whole family in the morgue. Otherwise you’re going to find yourself getting sold for a packet of cigarettes and stick of chewing gum, understand? Always answer violence with violence.

Delphi:… okay, daddy.

*Delphi proceeds to break a little ballerina’s arm*

I really want a Fem!Harry & Delphini au fanfic.

How the war and Voldemort is handled i’m not sure. Maybe there is no war or Voldy. That can be done however.

But it’s where both girls basically grew up together. Harry grew up with her awful Muggle family, and Delphini grew up with an awful Pureblood woman. They know each other because they’ve run into each other before and maybe work together, and the way they meet can be up to interpretation.

Maybe Harry saw Delphini (she [Delphini] is always running away from her caregiver) doing magic one day/talking to a snake and went up to greet her and tell her that she could do that too or they literally ran into each other and either apologized and talked or got off on the wrong foot and didn’t like each other all too much but the running into each other thing became frequent to the point they thought that the other was stalking them or something.

Then when Harry starts working [maybe a muggle job or wizarding job], Delphini also starts working that same job, and depending on how they met back then will dictate their thoughts on each other and how they feel about meeting and working at the same job.

Do you think Bellatrix knew that Voldemort is halfblood?

Yes though I can never decide how I’d like for her to find out.

I can’t imagine she didn’t know, given how defensive of him she became when Harry was shouting “your beloved master is a half blood!” to her. Personally I saw that scene as her being entirely defensive of him because she knew but likely a majority of death eaters didn’t.

I think if she’d not have known she’d have been confused as opposed to angry.

I imagine despite it wasn’t common knowledge, given her own status and family standing as one of the sacred 28 she was taught about blood history and at some point when she found out his name was Tom Riddle it clicked that he had to be a half blood.

Also her parents knew him from school (at least, Cygnus certainly did) as did her Aunt Walburga. Though they themselves weren’t death eaters they knew him and his cause well enough to be agreeing with his mentality, thoughts and ideologies and were probably throwing gold at him too. They likely told her about him — either to warn her not to get wrapped up in him, to tell her because she’s curious — or my personal preference, to be yelled that he is a half blood by her aunt when Walburga finds out Bellatrix is having an affair with Voldemort.

I think there are too many ways for her to know than to not know. I also think she’s far too smart not to figure it out herself anyway.

Okay, wait, I saw that one post you did of Bellatrix and Mother Gothel, and it had me thinking of a Harry Potter and Rapunzel AU. 

Rapunzel is Harry (but fem!Harry), Bellatrix is Mother Gothel, and Delphini is Cassandra (she’s Gothel’s daughter from the tangled series, I’m not sure if you’ve seen that one).

Voldemort is dead, and Bellatrix is in complete dismay and denial of her master (lover) being gone. She has nothing but hatred for Harry, the wrenched thing that took her master from her, so she hatches a plan to kill her, but somehow ends up finding out that Harry is a Horcrux and gets obsessed with the idea of having a part of Voldemort with her again and maybe using the child to get him back, so she steals Harry away and raises her. She either raises Harry and Delphini equally along side each other, and they become best friends, or, in her blind obsession, she sort of pushes Delphini aside to watch over Harry, which leads to Delphini having conflicting feelings towards Harry. She loves her because she is so nice and likable, but she also resents her for stealing her mother’s attention. 

I've never seen the Rapunzel series but this would be an interesting AU/What If. It would certainly distort the original story a lot but something really beautiful could come out of it.

Suppose that after Voldemort's final downfall, the family where baby Delphini ended up decide that it's too much of a risk to have her and drop her off at the nearest Ministry office.

Like all orphans, it's decided that, with both parents deceased, Delphini will go to her closest relative.

Voldemort had no family, and even if he did nobody would give any relatives of his a baby to raise anyway.

Bellatrix, however, had two sisters, Andromeda and Narcissa.

Since Andromeda, newly entrusted with the care of her orphaned grandson, would be unlikely to be able to take in another baby at this time, Delphini is raised by Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy.

There's no easy way to say this, anon, but... I overdid it.

Please enjoy a far too detailed accounting of just some of the HC I have for this "first war alternate-universe" below:

Delphini is born in October of ‘78 - because of when her birthday falls she’s only one year above Draco and Harry Potter in school despite being closer to two years older. 

Bellatrix is barred from direct combat the day they find out about her pregnancy. She resents this, but would never refuse a direct order. She diverts her focus and leans into the dark arts heavily as a means to extend protection to their unborn heir. Calling upon the constellations, chanting blood rites, the constant brewing of obscure potions - her magic resonates with Delphini’s own, the baby responding to it long before she has taken her first breath. 

Still, Bella is an asset in strategy. She’ll show up to meetings with ancient runes stitched up her neck and down her fingers, blood from a recent sacrifice trailing on her robes. One day, her curses run so dark her eyes shift completely black for an entire week. The death eaters are lost somewhere between horrified and awed.

Dark magic is a constant in Delphini’s life since infancy. Ancient runes scrawled across new skin in blood, cursed objects perfectly placed for her protection, bewitched portraits lining the walls of her nursery. She finds comfort in it since before she can remember. 

Her parents are horribly busy for most of her early life but they still manage time to see her. The Dark Lord had established what is closest to His permanent residency in LeStrange Estates, a whole wing of the castle dedicated just to Him. Delphi and her mother spend the most time there. 

Rather than leaving Delphini with her sister, Bellatrix whisks her away to the Blacks just before she is arrested. They take her to the Ministry to ensure there's record of her so she can enlist at Hogwarts. There’s not. “She belongs to all of you?” Walburga, Cygnus and Druella glare back at the Ministry worker imploringly. “Yes.” Her blood runs Black and one test is more than enough proof, it’s not protocol to question a magical child’s parentage. 

The loss of both of her parents so suddenly is devastating. At night Delphini dreams of them, both of them, alone - scared, searching for each other. Delphini hurts just the same, it’s a constant state of free fall. She can’t help but feel like it’s her job to save them both.  

Of course, she gravitates towards Walburga. Something about the matriarch feels the most familiar, like she can almost pretend. The little witch will never fill the hole permanently cut into her great aunt’s heart but it feels slightly less raw in her presence. 

Delphini’s first year at Hogwarts will be Nymphadora’s last. When the Black’s take her to Diagon Alley they run into Andromeda. They ignore her completely despite the other witches and wizards leaping out of their way in anticipation for rivers of cataclysmic magic. She looks like Bellatrix and for a moment Delphini aches. She doesn’t know it but Andromeda is thinking the same thing.

Ollivander looks at her curiously. Yew, Dragon-heartstring, eleven and a half inches, unyielding. Very interesting. 

Before the start of her first year her Uncle Lucius has a gift for her. “It was your father’s.” He explains as he hands her the diary, the binding of it is soft and worn, the magic radiating off of it feels oh so familiar. Delphini is thrilled, it is one of the first things she uses when she gets to the castle. The pages are blank, until they are not.

hey there, i was thinking of writing something tomarry and i did get a WIP. so here it is ( beware that its my first time writing for the ship; mostly i just read):

Harry Potter merely observes his neighbourhood.

as a 21 year old with no career options 'appealing' to him, and hence is jobless, he observes the neighborhood he lives in.

And it's not like he's currently broke right now, as his parents left him a whopping amount of money and a medium sized house (enough big for him) before they died.

so really, he's got nothing to fret about.

so he resigns to only 'observe' his neighbourhood.

and in doing so, he thinks (quite naively) that every household is bland and normal.

Even the Riddles too. The single father and his lovely daughter who managed to catch every lady (and Harry) into giving her sweets for her politeness yet her mischievous ways.

Oh, how wrong he was.

So, very wrong.

Currently starting to write a fanfiction where Albus, Scorpius, and Delphi form a band called "The Dark Lord (name is a work in progress)" and they have to recruit some people from Slytherin into joining and then need to get other people to come see their concerts... Meanwhile, Harry and Hermione are thrown into panic over rumors of a "Dark Lord" recruiting Slytherins and a mass of not inconspicuous Hogwarts students leaving at late hours to sneak into some dingy underground bar at Hogsmeade. What could go wrong.

UDLTTOM headcanons: Delphi/Lily Potter (A ship I didn’t know I liked til I thought about it)

Alright so this is something I’ve been thinking about lately in regards to UDLTTOM. Delphi/Lily Potter (Harry’s daughter). Like the plans I’m think for their characters in the fic, they have pretty similar motivations and goals & I kind of low-key started shipping it.

Like I don’t think it’s a ship that’ll fit in with the outline in my head. But I’m really tempted to write a spin-off of two time-traveling women trying to map this insane timeline of events between the multiple Universes while their fathers are caught in this constant love-hate-immortal lovers quarrel. And they’re just in agreement that these two either need to get together & make it work or kill each other and be done with it, cause they can’t be dealing with this shit forever!

Delphi & Lily (together): Dad’s driving me bloody insane!

Lily: Oh you don’t know the half of it! He’s been moping around for weeks because your father killed my mum—And like yeah, I get it. I was upset too, but that was forty cycles ago. And I don’t got time for this—

Delphi: Oh believe me, I wish I was in your place. I could handle the moping. Our house looks like a demolition team went through it because Dad threw a tantrum after your Dad stopped replying to his letters!

Lily: We should just lock them in a room together!

Delphi: Oh a hundred percent! They can either come out reconciled or in body bags!

Lily: I’m fine with with either option! Just get this man outta my house!
